Nam tham (Choir and String Quartet)
A signature piece from TICE’s debut album Ula, “Nam Tham” brings together the pulse of Indian music and the depth of Western harmony. The piece builds on the percussive sounds “nam” and “tham,” weaving them into a powerful choral texture that culminates in a tender bilingual section in Hindi/Thamizh reflecting a mother’s affection for her child. This score is arranged for SSSAATTB voices and a String Quartet.
